String Types

Bobbee’s native string type stores full-width characters in each character position. Most importantly, the ‶length″ of such a string is the number of characters (code points) in the string. The char (character) type likewise stores 21-bit Unicode characters.

Bobbee also supports the use of the Java String and character (javaChar) types. Bobbee string and Java ‶java.lang.String″ are converted back and forth efficiently and usually silently.
